Large Round Early 19th Century Box
Prepossessing and very large round box having traces of sage paint. Circa 1820, box construction sports square-head nails with strong oxidation and very thick box walls and wrap on the lid. Box is very sturdy without splits or cracks. Appears to have been an early painted box which was later "cleaned" to reveal original wood, but leaving traces of old sage paint.
