Matched pair of small (5” H, 3 ¼” Diam.) mid-19th century stoneware jars. Cobalt blue freehand decoration, “same hand” expressive brush, leaf design on both jars. Probably Lancaster County, PA origin. Unmarked and used as storage jars. Albany slip interiors and only a few minor stoneware “dings.” Exceptional item for a stoneware collector.
