Norwalk, CT 1820’s Redware Jar
Pair of almost identical, very bulbous, early manganese decorated redware jars. The manganese marks are done by a pottery artist. Series of incised lines circle both jars. The handles and top rims differ slightly. The sizes are almost identical: 9” tall and 8” at widest point. Both attributed to A. Day Pottery. The glaze and colors make an attractive statement in any size room.
