Tall Redware Jars
10.25″ tall, 6.25″ diam, c 1840, CT origin. Strong manganese splotches, medium red ground, no rim chips; a couple of “micro dings”, strong overall condition. 8″ tall, 5.5″ diam c 1830, Maine origin redware rarity: manganese splotches, no rim chips, excellent condition. Rich, attractive red coloring. NOTE: lighter vertical streaks are reflected light, not in the glaze. The two jars make a fine couple! 10.25″H x 6.25″W
